Abused womens.
Divorced or separated women, young and low socioeconomic status are those
have higher rates of abuse, but the battered woman does not show
any characteristic of premorbid personality profile.Isolation,
imbalance of power and alternating behaviors of abuse and kindness of the couple
predispose these victims believe a very strongemotional bonds with their
aggressors, which explains why battered womenstruggle to separate
emotionally from whom the attacks and why they return so often with the aggressor
after leaving. Can often be observed behaviorsthat can develop after a
situation of violence such as:
• Increased physical health problems and mental health.
• Fear.
• The minimization of the abuse situation.
• Isolation.
• Learned Helplessness.
• Internalisation of guilt.
• Ambivalence.
• Low self-esteem.
• Hope.
• Increased use of drugs, alcohol and tranquilizers




Men who batter.
